Zora NFT marketplace is familiarly used by NFT creators and brands to mint the NFTs. Now it has launched its own layer 2 blockchain network to assist innovation and minimize the cost. Zora NFT platform is secured by the Ethereum network, created on the optimism tech stack of layer-2 blockchain. It backed more than 35 platforms such as sound.xyz, PleasrDAO and more. “In the past six months, Zora network has been reaching the topmost limit of Ethereum mainnet,” Jacob Horne, CEO and co-founder of Zora, told “We have 880,000 collectors and millions of NFTs minted, and have found that gas price is a systemic inhibitor to adoption.” The majority of the NFTs displayed on Zora’s scrolling webpage really sell for less than $10 and might even be free to mint. A few dollars’ worth of Ethereum network gas, or even much more when demand is high, could drastically increase the cost of each transaction.
